Suspected Killer In New York Murder Case Arrested In Delaware

Wilmington – Wilmington Police Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division have been assisting the Schenectady Police Department, Schenectady, NY and the New York State Police with a homicide that occurred on November 19, 2016 in Schenectady, NY.

As part of this criminal investigation, Joevany Luna, 42, of Wilmington, was developed as a suspect, according to police. On May 23, 2017 an arrest warrant for Joevany Luna was created by the Schenectady PD charging Luna with Murder.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, Joevany Luna was stopped while a passenger in a motor vehicle in the 1300 Blk. of E. 12th Street.

Joevany Luna was placed into custody without incident and transported to Wilmington Police Headquarters. At headquarters Defenant Luna was booked on the charge of – Fugitive from Another State and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000,000 cash bail.

Luna is wanted by Schenectady police in connection with the murder of Charles Dembrosky back in November of last year.

In that case Schenectady Police Officers responded to Dembrosky’s home where they found the 49-year-old man laying in his yard, with a bullet wound to his head.
