Three Shot Overnight, Two In Critical

Wilmington – On May 26, 2017 at approximately 10:25 p.m., Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the 200 block of N. DuPont Street in reference to a shooting investigation, according to police.

Officials said first arriving officers into the area located a 60-year-old male victim in the 1700 block of W. 3rd Street who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his right arm. As assisting police arrived on scene they were directed to the St. Francis Hospital Emergency Room where two, additional male victims arrived via personal vehicles at the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.

The first male, identified as a 46-year-of age was suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The second victim, identified as a 25-year-old male was also suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso.

Both victims are described as in critical but stable condition. The 60-year-old victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported via ambulance to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the shooting occurred in the 200 block of N. DuPont Street and officers were able to locate a shooting scene.
