Troopers Need Your Help Sniffing Out Suspected Cologne Thief

Delaware – Delaware State Police have identified a suspect in a late March shoplifting spree who they believe stole over $2,300.00 worth of cologne as Samlie Irvin Jr., 50 of Milford, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Gary Fournier.

Fournier said Samlie is currently wanted on two counts of Possession of Shoplifting Tools, Criminal Mischief, Shoplifting, and Attempted Shoplifting. Irvin is also wanted out of Kent County Superior Court on a capias, added Fournier.

The incidents occurred at the below listed locations when Irvin entered the stores and proceeded to remove assorted cologne after defeating the locked display cases with an unknown type of tool before exiting the businesses without rendering payment, according to Fournier.

Walgreens, 3301 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington – occurred Saturday March 25, 2017 at approximately 9:28 p.m.
Walgreens, 4201 Concord Pike, Wilmington –occurred Monday March 27, 2017 at approximately 12:23 p.m.
Walgreens, 5506 South DuPont Highway, Dover – occurred Wednesday March 29, 2017 at approximately 6:52 p.m.
Walgreens, 52 West Birdie Lane, Magnolia – occurred Wednesday March 29, 2017 at approximately 5:40 p.m. (This was an attempted Shoplifting as the suspect was unable to enter the display case or remove any items, said Fournier.)
