New Castle – The New Castle County Police (NCCPD) are investigating the shooting of a 45-year-old man in the community of Overview Gardens, according NCCPD Spokeswoman Heather Carter.
Carter said today, June 24, 2017 at approximately 6:00 p.m. New Castle County Police were called to the unit block of Chesterfield Dr in the community of Overview Gardens for a 45-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.
A crowd started to form in the area where the victim was located and additional police units were requested at the scene.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and his condition is unknown at this time. This is an active and ongoing investigation and more information will be forthcoming.
