Kirkwood Highway Accident Sends Motorcycle Rider To Hospital

 

Update – Wilmington – At approximately 6:50 a.m. this morning New Castle County Paramedics, Cranston Heights, Mill Creek and Belvedere Fire Companies were dispatched to the intersection of Kirkwood Highway and St. James Church Road for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcyclist.

Upon County Paramedics arrival the patient, 58-year-old male, was separated from his motorcycle. The patient was wearing his helmet and suffered injuries to his head, chest, leg and arm. The patient was treated on scene for injuries and transported via Cranston Heights Fire Company ambulance with County Paramedics continuing care. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.

A Wilmington – Just before 7:00 a.m. this morning members of the Belvedere Fire Coā€¸mpany responded to Kirkwood Highway at St James Church Road for a report of crash involving a motorcycle.

Arriving crews found an accident involving a small car and a motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle was found with unspecified injuries and was then transported to the Hospital.

The driver of the car was uninjured.
