Independence Day Begins With 15-Year-Old Shot Multiple Times

Wilmington – On Tuesday July 4, 2017 at approximately 1:27 a.m. Wilmington Police Department patrol units were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Clifford Brown Walk in reference to a shooting victim.

Upon arrival patrol units located a 15-year-old black male suffering from multiple gun shot wounds to his upper legs. The victim was treated on the scene and transported to the Christiana Hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The victim advised officers he was shot while in the 400 block of E. 9th Street. Officers responded to that location and located a shooting scene.
