Motorcycle Crash In New Castle Sends Two To Hospital

New Castle – Delaware State Police are currently investigating an accident involving a motorcycle at the intersection of River Road & Hamburg Corner River Road in New Castle.

Arriving units from New Castle County Paramedics, Good Will and Delaware City Fire Companies found two patients suffering from serious injuries. Trooper 4 (Delaware State police Aviation) was on scene as the patients were being evaluated.

The first patient, 58-year-old female, was found in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Good Will Fire Company. The patient suffered injuries to her head, pelvis and arm, according to authorities. It was determined that the patients would be transported to the hospital via ground ambulance. The patient was transferred to Christiana Hospital via Good Will Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.

The second patient, 56-year-old male, was found in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Delaware City Fire Company. The patient suffered injuries to his knee and ankle. The patient was transferred to Christiana Hospital via Delaware City Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.
