No Fear, Gunman Opens Fire In Broad Daylight, One Dead

Wilmington – On July 28, 2017 at approximately 1:22 pm, Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the 700 block of S. Van Buren Street in reference to a shooting investigation. Arriving officer’s located a 23-year-old male down in the block suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso.

The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The homicide investigation is in the preliminary stages and ongoing. Anyone with information realtive to this investigation is asked to call Detective Mackenzie Kirlin at 302-576-3653.
