Two Alarm Fire Destroys Waterfront Home In Cecil County

North East – Just after 6:15 am on Sunday July 23, 2017, forty members of the North East Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 100 block of Susquehannock Drive for reports of a home on fire.

Arriving crews found the one-story, single family dwelling with heavy fire. Crews worked for an hour and a half before the fire was under control. The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office reported that a passerby reported the blaze.

Investigators say the the estimated loss to the structure was $650,000.00 and another $150,000.00 for the contents. The fire remains under investigation according the to the Fire Marshal’s office.
