Update: 22-Year-Old Man Crashes Motorcycle Newark

 

Newark – Last night, at 8:20 pm, New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company were dispatched to South College Avenue and Interstate 95 Southbound, for a motorcycle crash, according to Senior Corporal David McKinney, Jr.

McKinney said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient, a 22-year-old male who was in the care of Emergency Medical Technicians from the fire department. The patient was wearing a helmet and was ejected from the bike during the crash.

The patient was treated on scene for a possible head and pelvic injury and body-wide abrasions. The patient was flown to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital on board the State Police helicopter. The patient was stable at the time of transport.

The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident. We’ll post more one the investigation is completed.

Newark – Crews from Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder are currently on scene at Route 896 (South College Ave) at I-95 for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) is headed to the scene to medevac the patient.

Update: At 8:50 pm Trooper 4 left the scene with the patient headed to trauma canter.

Update: At 8:54 pm Trooper 4 has landed at the hospital.
