Boat Catches Fire At North East Dock

North East, Md. – Fire crews from North East and Charlestown responded to the 300 blk of Cherry Street yesterday, 8/29/2017, just after 10:15 a.m. fro reports of a boat on fire.

Arriving crews faound a 1984, Wellcraft, Cabin, 26 foot boat on fire.  Nine firefighters extinguished the blaze within 10 minutes of arrival.

Maryland State Fire Marshals said that the boat fire, discovered by a passerby, sustained approximately $2,000 in damage.
