Car Into Utility Pole In Newark, One Sent To Hospital

Newark – Members of Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, along with Troopers from the Delaware State Police responded to Old Baltimore Pike this morning, for reports of a vehicle crash involving a utility pole.

Arriving crews found a small Honda sedan with heavy damage and one patient who had self-extricated from the vehicle.  The car apparently left the roadway, skidding through a front yard and spinning out of control before impacting a utility pole with its driver’s side door.

A male patient, in his twenties, was treated by arriving ambulance crews and transport to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The crash occurred near the intersection of Old Baltimore Pike and Four Seasons Parkway just after 10:30 am.
