Fun, Food and Entertainment At Today’s Middletown Peach Festival

Middletown –  The 2017 Middletown Peach Festival drew thousands to Main Street throughout the day today, Saturday August 19, 2017.  The day started off with the annual Peach Parade on Broad and Main Street. This years parade had variety of bands, antique cars, fire equipment, costumed participants, performing groups, noise, horses and color.

As always, all activities were free, courtesy of the Middletown Historical Society’s (MHS) sponsors and partners, according to the MHS website.

After the paraded attendees made their way through the crowd visiting the scores of vendors that had setup along Main Street, buying peaches, Peach Festival T-shirts and aprons to benefit the MHS. The crowd was entertained by musicians,  a peach pie contest, bouncy houses and a slew of other activities.

Festival organizers haven’t released this years attendances numbers, but their websites indicates that 27,000 people attended last year.
