Reports: Police Have Arrested The Driver Of This Morning’s Burning Car

Wilmington – This morning New Castle County Police, along fire crews from the Cranston Heights Fire Company responded to intersection of of Route 141 (Center Road) and Route 48 (Lancaster Pike) for a vehicle on fire call.

Arriving units found a white SUV Volvo with fire coming from the engine compartment.

Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle may be have been taken without the consent of the owner. Several county Police Officers were observed talking to someone in the back of one of the patrol cars.

Additional reports indicate that the driver has been arrested and will be charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
