Crash On Lancaster Pike Leaves One In The Hospital, One In Cuffs

Hockessin – Afternoon commute slowed by two vehicle crash on Lancaster Pike in Hockessin. Firefighters from the Hockessin Fire Company, along with Delaware State Police, and New Castle County Police responded to Lancaster Pike in the area of the Sanford School for a report of a vehicle crash with injuries.

Upon arrival rescue crews found two vehicles with heavy damage, with one patient injured.

Firefighters and medics removed the female driver of a silver Dodge Avenger, and transported her to Christiana Hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Honda CR-V was placed in cuffs by law enforcement on scene. It is unclear why the man was being detained or if he suffered any injuries.
