Greenville Crash Sends Three To Hospital With Serious Injuries, Road Closed

Greenville – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a two vehicle crash which has sent three subjects to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the initial investigation has revealed that the crash occurred at approximately 7:19 a.m. this morning, Friday, September 29th, 2017 on Kennett Pike (Rt. 52) approximately 1 mile north of Hillside Rd. A total of two vehicles were involved in the collision with three subjects being transported to Christiana Hospital for treatment. Kennett Pike remains closed at this time and motorists should seek alternate routes of travel.

 

As the accident occurred Good Samaritans quickly began to treat the patients until rescue crews arrived on scene, according to witnesses.

Witnesses at the scene indicated that Trooper 4 did land nearby and transported one patient by air. The other two were transported by ground.
