Newark – Rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, along with Newark Police are currently on scene at Route 896 (S College Ave) for a accident with entrapment.

Arriving crews have found five patients with at least one trapped. Crews have just extricated the patient. Trooper 4 will transport to AI duPont.

Update – 1:04  PM Newark Police have just confirmed that South College Avenue will be shut down for several hours to investigate the accident

South bound lanes have reopened.
