Newark – Newark Police Department (NPD) is investigating a peeping tom incident that occurred on 9/22/17 at 12:40am in the 200 block of E. Park Place, according to NPD Spokesman Fred Nelson. The victim, a 21- year-old female University of Delaware student, reported that she was asleep in her bedroom when she noticed a light shining in from her bedroom window.
The victim stated that she sat up and observed the silhouette of a male holding a cell phone outside of her window, according to Nelson. The victim stated the male then fled on foot towards E. Park Place. Officers, including a New Castle County Police K9 Officer and his partner, checked the area for the suspect, however, they were unable to locate him.
