New Castle – Yesterday at approximately 12;20 a.m., New Castle County Police responded to a house in the Castle Hills neighborhood for reports of an accident. When New Castle County Police Officers arrived they learned a Chevy Impala had struck a house in the unit block of Moores Lane. After accessing the situation officers called a New Castle County Code Inspector to the scene. The inspector later deemed the home to be unsafe for habitation.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No injuries were reported by the residents. Officers do believe alcohol and/or drugs are a factor in this accident, according to police.
