Third Motorcycle Crash Of The Day Sends 25-Year-Old To Hospital

Swanwyck Gardens – At approximately 8:10 pm yesterday evening New Castle County Paramedics, Minquadale and Holloway Terrace Fire Companies were dispatched to Interstate 295 Northbound in the area of Landers Lane for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcyclist, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell said that upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found the patient, 25-year-old male, in care of emergency medical technicians from Minquadale Fire Company. The patient suffered road rash to his left side. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Minquadale Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Two other motorcycle crashes, one in Wilmington Manor and another on Route 1 near Odessa sent two riders to the hospital yesterday, one by air.

Delaware River and Bay Authority is investigating the crash.
