Bear – Yesterday, (October 10), New Castle County Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the unit block of Vincent Lane to check on the welfare of the homeowner. When patrol officers arrived they found the front door to be unlocked, according to M/Cpl. Michel Eckerd.
Eckerd said patrol officers entered the residence and found two people, one male and one female in the bedroom of the residence deceased.
No forced entry was observed on the door nor any evidence that a third party was involved.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit arrived and further determined that there is no perceived threat to the community. The investigation is ongoing.

Bear – New Castle County Police are currently on the scene of a double shooting in Bear. Reports indicate that two people are shot at a trailer park on Vincent Lane.
