Townsend Man Charged With 25 Counts Of Sexual Exploitation Of A Child


Townsend – New Castle County Police Criminal Investigations Unit have arrested 53-year old Stephen Forbes and charged him with 25 counts of felony, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, according to M/Cpl. Michel Eckerd.

Eckerd said last Friday, October 27, 2017 New Castle County Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the community of Odessa National reference a report of child pornography. Through the course of the investigation, sufficient evidence was revealed that merited a response by detectives from the New Castle County Police Criminal Investigation Unit, according to Eckerd.

After executing a search warrant, Detectives were allegedly able to arrest and charge Stephen Forbes with 25 counts of felony, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, according to Eckerd.

Stephen Forbes was arraigned at New Castle County Police Headquarters and is currently being held at Howard Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $1,250,000 secured bail.
