Brother And Sister Shot In Wilmington, One In Critical Condition

Wilmington – On Wednesday, 29 November 2017, at approximately 10:06 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the 1300 block of N. Claymont Street regarding a shots fired complaint, according to police.

Officials said upon the officers arrival they located a 25-year-old female victim in the 1200 block of N. Claymont Street suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest. The female victim was treated on scene by New Castle County paramedics, then was transported via ambulance to the Christiana Hospital where she underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.

While officers were on scene, they were advised of a second victim who arrived at the Wilmington Hospital by private vehicle. Upon their arrival they made contact with a 26-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his shoulder and jaw. He is listed in stable condition.

The victims are brother and sister, according to police. Police are currently locating any witnesses or video.

Police said the suspect is described as a black male, last seen wearing a green Eagles cap, camouflage jacket, black sweatshirt, dark pants with a white strip on the sides and black sneakers.
