Troopers Have Closed Route 40 WB, Pedestrian Struck Investigation

New Castle – Rescue crews from the Wilmington Manor Fire Company, along with Delaware State Troopers have responded to Route 40 WB near the 13/40 split (in front of the Walmart) for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Arriving crews have found the patient with serious injuries and are currently treating them on scene.

Avoid the area.

Update: Troopers have closed Route 40 WB at Appleby Road to investigate. All Route 40 wb traffic is being diverted into the WalMart parking lot.
