Milton – The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery of a local area gas station that occurred north of Milton, according to Director of Public Information, Sergeant Richard Bratz.

Bratz said the preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred around 7:24 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, as a man armed with a knife entered the Valero Gas Station located at 25576 Deep Branch Road, Milton. The suspect approached the clerk at the counter and demanded cash from the register, said Bratz. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect was able to remove an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Bratz. The suspect fled the store in a south west direction. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt with his face covered armed with a knife.
