Troopers Track Down Marshallton Bank Robbery Suspects


Wilmington – Today, just after 12:30, the Fulton Bank, at 3812 Kirkwood Highway was reportedly robbed by at least two suspects. Delaware State Police quickly converged on the bank and began searching for the suspect’s vehicle.

As Troopers searched the area, they located the vehicle with at least two men, who are believed to be the involved in the robbery. Troopers performed a felony stop on the vehicle at Whitby Drive and Route 202. At least one suspect is believed to have fled from the car before being stopped by police.

Reports from the scene indicate that Troopers held the the driver of the car at gunpoint before bringing him into custody and placing him in the patrol car.

As the search continued police converged on the Route 202 Jiffy Lube, thinking that a suspect was nearby. Arriving Troopers handcuffed the man in the parking lot and detained him for several minutes, before letting him go.

Troopers, along with County Police, Trooper 4 and Trooper 2, continue to search neighborhoods along Route 202 for the suspect.

Reports indicate that there may have been up to three suspects and that two have been taken into custody.
