Missing UD Student Found Safe

Newark Police said they have located Alsutan and that he is safe. No further details were released.

Newark – The Newark Police are currently searching for Mahdi Haji A. Alsultan, a 24-year-old male missing from Newark. Mahadi was last seen by friends on December 6, 2017. Mahadi is a University of Delaware student from Saudi Arabia, with no family in the area.

On December 9th, The Newark Police were called to investigate a report of a missing person. Officers made contact with friends who stated that Mahadi was last seen at his residence in The Retreat in Newark. Friends became concerned for his welfare after locating some concerning written statements. Officers have been unsuccessful in locating Mahadi and have a real concern for his welfare.

Mahdi is described as a male, is 5’05” and weighs approximately 120 lbs. Mahdi has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of Mahdi Haji A. Alsultan is asked to call the Newark Police Department at 302-366-7111 or dial 911.
