Christmas Day Rollover Crash Sends 4 To Hospital

New Castle – At approximately 1:45 on Christmas Day, New Castle County Paramedics, Minquas, Goodwill and Minquadale Fire Companies were dispatched to the area of North Dupont Highway and Interstate 295 Northbound for a motor vehicle crash with report of a rollover, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne T. Russell.

Russell said upon arrival New Castle County Paramedics found 4 patients. All patients were removed from the vehicle that was found rolled over. The first patient, 16-year-old female, was in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Minquas Fire Company. The patient suffered injuries to her ankle and hand. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Minquas Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The second patient,an 8-year-old female, suffered injuries to her abdomen. The third patient,a 10-year-old male, suffered injuries to his leg. The fourth patient, a 43-year-old male, suffered injuries to his hand. These patients were in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Minquadale Fire Company who transported to Christiana Hospital via ambulance. All patients were in stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
