Update: Shooting Victim Suffering From Multiple Wounds

Update – The victim in today’s shooting incident is a 21-year-old man. He sustained a graze wound to his back, one gunshot wound to his right thigh, and one gunshot wound to his left buttock.

Officials said that the victim is currently listed in stable condition.

Wilmington – On Thursday, 14 December 2017, at approximately 2:19 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the 300 block of N. Van Buren Street reference a SHOT SPOTTER notification for several rounds of gunfire.

A shooting scene was located in the block, however, there were no victims reported.

At approximately 3:07 pm, 48 minutes later, a male victim walked into the Wilmington Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

At this time the victim’s condition is not yet known.

This is an on-going investigation.
