Motorcycle Crash In New Castle Sends One To Hospital

New Castle – At approximately 1:40 pm yesterday, New Castle County Paramedics, along with crews from the Wilmington Manor Fire Company and Delaware State Police were dispatched to the area of New Castle Avenue and Interstate 295 Southbound on ramp for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found the patient, 52-year-old male, operator of the motorcycle, in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Wilmington Manor Fire Company. The patient was removed from his motorcycle and suffered injuries to his ankle and leg.

The patient was treated on scene and transported to Christiana Hospital via Wilmington Manor Fire Company accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.
