New Image From Last Night’s Business Fire In Elsmere

Elsemere – Just after 8:00 pm last evening firefighters from several fire companies responded to 6 Hadco Road for reports of a business on fire.

First arriving units reported fire showing and alerted responding crews that the fire was spreading to the roof.

Approximately 40 fire fighters from Elsmene, Five Points, Cranston Heights Belvedere, Hockessin, Mill Creek and Minquas Fire Companies battled the blaze for about an hour before bringing it under control.

New Castle County Paramedics and the State Fire Marshal’s office also responded.

 

Breaking Report

Elsmere – Fire crews from northern New Castle County are responding to Hadco Road for reports of a business on fire.

Responding crews are reporting fire is showing and spreading to the roof.

Command is reporting heavy fire on the second floor and in the warehouse.

8:20 pm – Firefighters continue to battle the blaze. Crews have been advised that an oxygen tank is in the building.

8:25 pm Heavy fire conditions continue.

8:30 pm All firefighters have been ordered out of the building

8:36 pm Command is reporting that this an exterior attack on the fire.

8:44 pm Firefighters have reentered the building. An interior attack is ongoing.

8:47 pm Command is reporting that the fire has been knocked down.

Approximately 40 firefighter are on scene.
