NPD Investigating Theft From Car, Laptop, Credit Cards Stolen

Newark – Newark Police Department is investigating a theft from a vehicle that occurred between 11/28/17 at 4:40 a.m. and 11/29/17 at 6:20 p.m. in the 200 block of E. Main Street, according to Lt. Fred Nelson.

Nelson said the victim, a 31-year-old male from Newark, reported that an unknown suspect entered his unlocked Honda Civic and removed a book bag, a laptop, a credit card, and other assorted items with a total value of approximately $535.00. The victim reported that his credit card was subsequently used by the suspect at a business in the 200 block of E. Chestnut Hill Road shortly after the theft occurred.
