Quick Response By Middletown Firefighters Saves Bear Home

Bear – Just before 3:00 this afternoon, firefighters from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, along with crews from the Christiana Fire Company, Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, Port Penn and Delaware State Police responded to the 300 block of Cypress Way for reports of a home on fire.

Responding crews reported smoke showing before making their way into the home to search for occupants. Crews reported that the home was cleared while others firefighters began fighting the fire.

Although the fire damaged a large section of vinyl siding above the garage, it’s notĀ believed that theĀ fire extended into the home. A quick response by firefighters saved the home from further damage.

No injuries were reported.
