Bridgeville Man Charged With Raping 7-Year-Old Girl, Held On $100K

Laurel – On Thursday 25th of January, 2018 the Laurel Police Department arrested a man for allegedly raping a child, according to Laurel Police Department Spokesman Christopher Story.

Laurel Police have alleged that John L. Young, 25, of Bridgeville, had sexual contact on several occasions with a seven-year-old female who was in his care, according to Story.

Story said Young was charged with one count of Rape in the 2nd Degree Victim is Less Than 12-years-old, two counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact with a person who is less than 13 years of age and three counts of Felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Young was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #2 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $100,000.00 secured bond and issued a No Contact Order for the victims.
