Wilmington Police just released the following statement “Wilmington Police are currently investigating a shooting that just occurred at approximately 3:46 pm.
The location of the shooting is located in E. 27th and N. Claymont Streets and this incident may be the result of a robbery.
Preliminary reports indicated that the victim may be a male subject, 50s in age.
This is an on-going investigation.

Wilmington – Wilmington Police, along with crews from the Wilmington Fire Department and New Castle County Paramedics have just responded to the 2000 block of N Claymont for reports a person laying in a yard.
Reports from the scene indicate that the subject has been shot. Medics are currently working on the subject.
