Man Pinned Between Two Cars At Oil Change Shop In Newark, One To Trauma

Newark – Just before 11:00 this morning Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder along with Delaware State Police and New Castle County Paramedics responded to the Jiffy Lube located at 29 Liberty Terrace, just off of Capitol Trail, for reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

Reports from the scene indicate that upon arrival rescue crews found one patient that had been pinned between two vehicles in the work bay.

Medics quickly determined that the patient was suffering from crush injuries to his lower extremities.

Reports indicate that the man was between two vehicles when one of the vehicles accelerated pinning him between the two cars. The force of the impact pushed one of the cars through the bay window, shattering the glass.

The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries and a trauma alert called.
