Chief Tracy On Scene Of Wilmington Shooting, Man Shot In The Back

Wilmington – At approximately 8:47 pm, Wilmington Police (WPD) were summoned to the Unit Block of S. Clayton Street with regard to a shooting, according to WPD Spokeswoman Stephanie Castellani.

Castellani said upon their arrival, officers made contact with a 20-year-old male suffering from what appears to be a gunshot wound to his rear torso.

The male victim was treated on scene by New Castle County paramedics before being transported to the Christiana Hospital by ambulance.

The victims condition is unknown at this time.
