Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company Mourns The Loss Of Deputy Chief

The Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company is mourning the passing of Deputy Fire Chief Thomas “Tommy” Jones.

“It is with a heavy heart that the officer’s and members of the Greenwood Vol. Fire Co. regret to inform that Deputy Chief Thomas “Tommy” Jones has passed away on Feb. 18, 2018. Once Funeral arrangements have been made they will be posted. Please keep the Jones Family along with the membership of the Greenwood VoL Fire Co. in your thoughts and prayers.”, said a post on the company’s website.

Tommy was an active lifetime member of the fire company, previously holding the positions of Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, 1st Assistant Chief, 2nd Assistant Chief,3rd Assistant Chief and Chief Engineer, according to the website.
At the time of his passing he held the position of Deputy Fire Chief.
