Unlike other news organizations, First State Update hasn’t put up a paywall. We want to provide the news to as many readers as possible.

Our readership has grown far beyond our greatest expectations in such a short period of time.

In less than two years we have become one of Delaware most popular and  trusted news sources.

To keep this thing firing on all cylinders we need to do some serious updates and upgrades to our equipment.

That takes cash. Digital advertising revenue has declined in recent years as advertisers have begun to pay less for advertising and readers have begun using adblocker software.

Rather than promote ads that don’t get clicked on we are increasingly removing ads in favor of reader funded support.

If just a fraction of First State Update’s readers pitched in a couple of bucks we would be set for a while. You can support First State Update for as little as $1.
