Newark – New Castle County Police are searching for 20-year-old Kalif Reeves who is wanted for the shooting death of 22-year-old William Laws that occurred earlier this month, according to police. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000.00 for information leading directly to the arrest of Kalif Reeves.

Newark – New Castle County Police are searching for 20-year-old Kalif Reeves who is wanted for the shooting death of 22 year-old William Laws that occurred earlier this month, according to New Castle County Police Spokeswoman, Heather Carter..

Carter said Friday (March 9) at approximately 2:08 a.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the intersection of Malvern Road and August Drive for a shooting that had just occurred. Police learned that 22-year-old William Laws suffered a gunshot wound to his torso. He was transported to an area hospital by emergency medical services where he was pronounced dead.

During the course of the investigation, The New Castle County Police Homicide Squad developed Kalif Reeves as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest, according to Carter. The Wilmington FBI office is assisting with the investigation.

Newark – New Castle County Police have identified 22-year-old William Laws, of the unit block of Davies Road, as the man shot earlier this morning, according to spokeswoman Heather Carter.

Carter said the victim was transported to an area hospital by emergency medical services where he succumbed to his injury.

Newark – New Castle County Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the community of Chestnut Hill Estates, according to spokeswoman Heather Carter.

Carter said today, March 9, at approximately 2:08 a.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the intersection of Malvern Road and Augusta Drive for a shooting that had just occurred. Police learned that one person was shot and transported to an area hospital by emergency medical services.

Detectives from the New Castle County Police Criminal investigations Unit arrived on scene and have assumed the investigation. This is an active and ongoing investigation and more information will be forthcoming.
