Wilmington – Traffic is crawling in both directions on I-95 near Frawley Stadium as crew work to repair a Jersey barrier that was damaged in a serious crash last night.

DelDOT announced that the left lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions would be closed near Exit 6/Maryland Avenue/Martin Luther King Boulevard and Frawley Stadium in Wilmington while repairs are made.

Last night just after 11:00 rescue crews, along with Delaware State Police have responded to the  area  for reports of an injury accident.

Upon arrival, crews found one person that was ejected for their vehicle.  Debris from a demolished Jersey barrier had crossed over to the south bound lanes causing a partial shutdown I-95.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) Responded to the scene and transported the patient to the hospital with undetermined injuries.

Authorities are expected to release further information later today.
