Massive Fire Completely Destroys Home In Middletown

Middletown – Firefighters from The Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, along with crews from Port Penn, Townsend and Clayton responded to the 500 block of Ramunno Drive for reports of a house fire.

Upon arrival, crews found the home with heavy fire showing. Fire consumed most of the house before crews could bring it under control. We are awaiting a report from the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office regarding the details of the fire.

Crews from Christiana Fire Company’s station 12 and Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder’s station 9 responded to Middletown to cover the city.
