Update: Rescue Crews Respond To The DuPont Experimental Station

Wilmington – Earlier this morning a contract work crew at the Experimental Station was removing a coil from an air handling unit when the coil toppled over and struck a contract worker, said DuPont Spokesman, Dan Turner.

Turner said emergency response was called and arrived on site to transport the contractor to Wilmington Hospital for medical attention and that DuPont is investigating the incident.

Turner did not release any information regarding the workers injuries.

Wilmington – Just before 9:00 this morning rescue crews, along Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) have responded to the DuPont Experimental Station on Powder Mill Road.

Reports from the scene indicate that one worker has been injured. Delaware State Troopers have been summoned to the scene as well.

Update: Trooper 4 has been told they will not be needed.
