Man Shot While Sitting On Front Porch In Dover

Dover – The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday morning at 12:06 am, according to /Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said the incident took place in the 200 Block of West Reed Street when a 42-year-old male victim was approached by four black male suspects while sitting on a front porch.

One suspect pulled out a handgun and fired several rounds, striking the victim three times in the left leg, said Hoffman. The residence, which was occupied by four people, was also struck with no other injuries occurring.

The victim was transported by medical personnel to Bayhealth Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.
