One Shot In Dover, Police Surround Residence Where Suspect Believed To Be Hiding

Dover –  At approximately 5:00 pm on Sunday, Dover Police, along with other responding agencies responded to the unit block of South Governors Avenue for reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found one victim shot. That victim was transported to the hospital with undetermined injuries.

Police acting on tips from a witness surrounded a nearby residence. The witness reportedly telling police that the shooting suspect was inside the residence.

Police quickly cordoned off and partially evacuated the area due to safety concerns. Police remained on scene for several hours before determining that no one was in the residence.
