Police Update Armed Robbery At Newark Apartment Complex

Newark – Newark Police have updated a story we first brought you on Sunday April 22, 2018.

At approximately 12:35 a.m. on Sunday the Newark Police responded to the 100 block of Thorn Lane for a report of an armed robbery, according to Sgt. Gerald Bryda.

Bryda said the two victims, a 19-year-old male and a 29-year-old male, were standing in front of the entrance to an apartment building.

They advised that an unknown male approached them wearing a dark mask covering his face, while pointing a handgun at them demanding money. The unknown suspect fled on foot with one of the victim’s cell phones.

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6’00” with a thin build, wearing a dark jacket, light colored pants and a dark mask.

Newark – Newark Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred in the 100 block of Thorn Lane. in the Studio Green Apartment complex. according to an alert sent out by the University of Delaware police Department.

The suspect is described as a male, possibly wearing a mask, black jacket, and grey pants.

The suspect possibly displayed a handgun.
