Stanton – At approximately 3:30 this afternoon Delaware State Troopers responded to the intersection of Route 4 and Route 7 for reports a fight involving a handgun.

Upon arrival, Troopers found two subjects, one being held down by the other. Troopers ordered at least one of the subjects to the ground but the subject(s) would not comply initially, according to reports.

Early reports from the scene indicate that one of the subjects may have jumped out of the van, pictured below, and began to remove his clothing. It’s unclear if the other subject was fighting the first subject or if he was responding to an incident that he was witnessing.

As more Troopers arrived on the scene, the subject(s) was placed in handcuffs. Additional reports indicate that drugs may be a contributing factor to this incident.

As soon as authorities brought the situation under control an ambulance was requested.

It’s unclear if anyone was transported to the hospital.

This is a breaking report. We will update the story with additional information as it becomes available.
