Crash On Summit Bridge Road Sends Vehicle Off The Road, Fire Reported

Bear – Just before 12:00 this afternoon rescue crews from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, along with Delaware State Police and DelDOT crews responded to Summit Bridge Road near Red Lion Road (Route 71) for reports of a van on fire as a result of an accident.

Upon arrival crews found one vehicle with heavy front end damage and one off the roadway.

It’s believed that at least one patient was transported to the hospital.
