Just In: Man Rushed To Trauma After Falling From Tree In Newark

Newark – At around 12:30 this afternoon rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with New Castle County Paramedics, Newark Police and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to the 800 block of Lehigh Road for reports of a long fall.

Upon arrival, crews found a man that had reportedly fallen while trimming a tree. It’s unclear if he is with a tree service or if he is the homeowner.

Early reports indicate that the man fell from high in the tree, either 15 or 50 feet. Later reports indicate that authorities are un cure how far the man fell.

The patient was transported to the Christiana Hospital’s trauma center via Trooper 4, suffering from serious injuries.
