On Sunday June 24, 2018 at 11:30 pm, Wilmington Police Officers responded to the 700 block of Broom Street regarding a “Shotspotter” notification.
Upon arrival, Officers observed a victim down on the corner of 8th and Broom Streets. Reports from the scene indicate that the victim was shot several times in the head. Police will only say that the victim was suffering from at least one gun shot wound.
New Castle County Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
